Spread love, bright life and smiles! 

There are a group of them who need us to light up their life. Sometimes a simple and small action will put a smile and warm feeling in someone else’s heart and make their day a little better. 

Campaign Purpose

The purpose of this program is to raise funds for the “Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-anak OKU Taman Island, Penang (Be Home for Special Care)” through crowdfunding campaigns to reduce their burden by giving materials support. The fund of this campaign will be used to buy basic needs for those disabilities children/OKU in this association in order to help them go through difficulties. Furthermore, it also raises awareness to the community towards the welfare of disabilities people. The program also aims to help, to show love and also care towards disabilities people.

Our target group is all the disabled people from Be Home for Special Care in Taman Island, Penang.Be Home for Special Care established in June 2019 and located in 7D Lorong Delima 3 Taman Island 11700 Gelugor Pulau Pinang. It is a non-profit organisation for children with disabilities. At present, there are a total of 31 children aged from 4 years old - 55 years old with disabilities staying in the centre. The purpose of this centre is to provide the children better care, to give them a comfortable home with food, and to give them a better life.

Introduction

We are UMSKAL FundFact Team, a group of five HE22 International Financial Economics third-year students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus. We are conducting a crowdfunding campaign as part of the course GD30103 International Corporate Finance. BRIGHT LIFE crowdfunding is to raise fund from kind-hearted people for the disabled people from “Be Home for Special Care” through mystartr online crowdfunding platform. We name our growdfunding as "Bright Life" because we strongly believe that this little warm action will bright up the life of Be Home for Special Care.

Objectives

The main objective of this crowdfunding campaign is to create awareness at the community level and to reduce Be Home’s burden by giving materials support and also to help, to show love and also care towards disabilities people. Through this crowdfunding project we will spread awareness via social media such as facebook and instagram to raise fun from kind-hearted people.

Unable to achieve the target amount of the fund donated.

The risk and challenges we will be face is unable to achieve the target amount of the fund donated. If its happen, the fund donated to Be Home for Special Care will be reduced and from that, the donation of daily essentials and food will be reduced to a lower quantity. However, on the other hand, if it is exceed the amount that we have targeted, we will buy more daily essentials and food to them in order to reduce the organization's financial and life burden.

This project is an assignment of the students in University Malaysia Sabah, Labuan Faculty of International Finance, and may not be suitable for everyone.
